This large embroidered patch reproduces a documented identification design associated with La Tropa del Infierno, the armed enforcement wing of Mexico’s Cártel del Noreste (CDN).

Historical Context
La Tropa del Infierno, meaning “Troop of Hell” or “Hell Troop,” is commonly identified as the armed wing of the Cártel del Noreste, a criminal organization that emerged from the fragmentation of Los Zetas.
The group became particularly associated with Nuevo Laredo and the wider northeastern region of Mexico during the late 2010s and early 2020s. Its members were frequently depicted wearing camouflage uniforms, tactical equipment and large identification patches intended to imitate the appearance of organized military or special-operations units.
This particular design uses oversized white lettering and the Mexican national colors for immediate visibility. A closely matching version is documented in imagery circulating by 2022, worn across the front of a tactical plate carrier. Because these insignia were not governed by an official heraldic system, variations in lettering, dimensions and design are known to exist.
