This oversized 6-inch embroidered patch reproduces one of the most recognizable insignia associated with the Matamoros faction of the Cártel del Golfo (CDG) during the leadership of José Alberto García Vilano, better known as “La Kena” or “Ciclón 19.”
The design prominently features C.D.G. XIX, with the Roman numeral XIX (19) referring to La Kena’s well-known numerical identifier. Surrounding the center is a symbolic composition consisting of an eagle, scorpion, and phoenix, connected by a triangle bearing the words Respeto (Respect), Lealtad (Loyalty), and Disciplina (Discipline). The outer ring displays additional values: Valentía (Courage), Fuerza e Inmortalidad (Strength and Immortality), and Transformación (Transformation).
This emblem became publicly known after appearing on tactical equipment used by members of the Ciclones–Escorpiones faction in Tamaulipas and has since become one of the most recognizable modern Gulf Cartel insignia documented in open-source reporting.
At a full 6 inches in diameter, this is significantly larger than typical uniform patches, making it ideal for display on plate carriers, tactical gear, range bags, jackets, backpacks, or as a centerpiece in a militaria or organized crime insignia collection.
