This embroidered triangular patch features a yellow field with a central red five-pointed star outlined in green, framed by a green triangular border. The letters Y, P, and G are positioned around the star, reflecting a commonly seen Yekîneyên Parastina Gel (YPG) insignia layout. The inverted triangular shape distinguishes this variant from shield formats and mirrors styles observed in field-made and non-standard insignia used during the Syrian conflict.

Historical Context
The YPG emerged as a Kurdish militia force during the Syrian Civil War, operating primarily in northern Syria. Alongside standardized insignia, a wide range of triangular, shield, and improvised patch designs appeared, often locally produced and varying in proportion, stitching style, and color intensity. The red star and yellow-green color scheme draw from broader socialist and Kurdish visual symbolism frequently associated with the group.
