This embroidered patch represents the Oplot Brigade (Бригада ОПЛОТ), a pro-Russian military unit originating from the Oplot movement, a Kharkiv-based organization founded by Yevgeny Zhilin in 2010. Initially an anti-Maidan group, Oplot played a key role in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and later became the 5th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade “Oplot”, one of the best-equipped units in the DPR’s 1st Army Corps.
